We are living through tough times. The current pandemic seems to be affecting everyone in different ways. Whether it’s those currently hospitalized and working towards regaining health, families grieving the loss of loved ones, disruption in travel plans, employment and weddings, there is devastation far and wide. We all have a story, an experience that deserves to be heard, and a need to be seen.
So today I’m recognizing those whose infertility is being further challenged by COVID-19,
- whose long wait for a child just got longer
- whose myomectomy or endometriosis surgery is rescheduled
- whose IVF cycle got postponed
- who started injections but were told to stop
- who named their embryo that now isn’t being transferred
- whose hospital “visitor” restrictions mean they’ll miss their adopted child’s birth
- who can’t fly in for their surrogacy delivery and love on their newborn
I’m so sorry for what you’re going through right now. Lightning and a downpour of tears were brought by unexpected clouds. This is a storm within a storm. We don’t know when it will end, but know that it will. I’m by your side waiting for that beautiful rainbow.
